Finney never attended Oscars

Five-time Oscar nominee Albert Finney has never attended any of Hollywood's Academy Awards ceremonies.

I've never been, the Big Fish star told reporters in New York recently. I live in London. It's a long way to go for a very long party. Sitting there for six hours not having a cigarette or a drink. It's a waste of time.

Big Fish, which is already generating Oscar buzz for Finney and on-screen wife Jessica Lange, is in theaters now.
