MAIN FACTS: -Unite's Lawyers are seeking compensation from the company for providing 'misleading' advice to Ford workers who transferred to Visteon U.K.. -When Visteon went into administration in 2009 the company had a GBP350 million black hole in its pension scheme, and Unite alleges that Ford is liable for this shortfall. -Workers' were transferred from Ford to Visteon U.K. in May 2000; workers had to decide whether to leave their accrued pension benefits in the Ford pension scheme, or to transfer them to the Visteon pension scheme. -Unite believes the information that Ford provided to the workers in order to assist them...

I worked for Ford /Visteon for a few months under 40 years. I was promised the same terms in my pension to transfer to the Visteon company pension, I was told that I'd have mirrored terms to the Ford pension for the rest of my life, this did not happen. We were lied to!
