UK's MI5 says China has been bugging business executives
North Korea Times Sunday 31st January, 2010
London's Sunday Times has reported that Britain's MI5 believes China has been bugging British business executives by using memory sticks to get into their computers.
A leaked document from the British spy agency
showed that undercover Chinese intelligence officers had approached British businessmen at trade fairs offering the memory sticks as gifts.
Once inserted into a computer, the memory stick planted a bug to allow Chinese intelligence services to remotely access information from the computer.
The MI5 document also claimed China was setting up sex-honeytraps, so compromised executives could be blackmailed into betraying commercial secrets.
